Rain halted proceedings in the 28th Mercantile League Basketball Tournament on the ninth day, and the remaining matches will be rescheduled for a later date.
In the Women's 'B' Division David Peiris Group of Companies (DPGC), spearheaded by Pramesha Fernando top score of 27, scored a runaway 64-14 victory over WSO2 at the St. Joseph's College Courts, having led 32-9 at halftime.
Union Bank (UB) defeated LB Finance (LBF) 57-49 in a close match in a Men's 'C' Division match at the Henry Pedris Basketball Courts.
The Bankers led 32-21 at halftime, and though LBF came back strongly, they failed to prevent UB's forward march.
