A well equipped Indoor Basketball Court was declared open at Nalanda College, Colombo.
This new Basketball Court was a tribute for Former Principal M.W. Karunananda and two teachers, Col. M.C.F. Abeykoon and D.S. Senanayake who rendered their noble service to the students of the college.
Built at a cost of 16 million rupees this project was headed by Dr. Thilak Pathiraja along with the financial support from old boys and well wishers.
The opening of the court was graced with the presence of Susila Pathiraja, an old girl of the school and a former teacher Rohini Weerasinghe along with the college Principal Thilak Wasthuhewa.
An exhibition match between Ananda and Nalanda marked the occasion.
