Angelo Mathews will lead the Sri Lanka team at the ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Championship 2016 according to confirmed reports.
This decision has been made by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) following Lasith Malinga’s resignation as Twenty20 skipper due to an injury.
Malinga stepped down from the Sri Lanka Twenty20 cricket team’s captaincy on Monday (7).
Dinesh Chandimal has been named vice captain to Mathews.
