Burgher Association (BA) will conduct its annual Softball Cricket 6s at the Malay grounds in Colombo on Sunday (7) from 8.30am.
Around 10 teams from Colombo, the suburbs and from Trincomalee will contest under the Men’s Under-40, Men’s Over-40 and Ladies categories.
All matches will be officiated by a panel of neutral umpires and scorers from the Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers of Sri Lanka.
The main award, the 'Ondray Ephraums Memorial Challenge Trophy' will be presented to the Under-40 Men’s champions while the 'Godwin Joseph Ludowyke Memorial Challenge Trophy' will be presented to the champion team of the Men’s Over-40.
Special awards will also be presented to the Best Batsman, Best Batter, Best Bowler and Best Allrounder in each category.
