Sri Lanka and Tamil Union left-arm paceman Chanaka Welagedara has decided to leave his native country and migrate to Australia for greener pastures in cricket reports say. Welagedara, 34, who has played 21 Tests, 10 ODIs and two Twenty20s for Sri Lanka from 2007 to 2014, was ignored by the national selectors during the recent tours. According to Tamil Union officials, where Welagedara captained the previous season, the premier cricket club has hosted the left-arm paceman a farewell dinner on Monday (27). Welagedara will continue his cricket career in Melbourne, where he will be based with his family.
