The management of the Sri Lanka Cricket team has put fast bowler Dhammika Prasad under medical observation after he had to come out of the field in the Sri Lankans' warm up game against Essex at Chelmsford.
"Dhammika Prasad, who went off-field during the final session of play last evening (May 9) due to a sore shoulder, has been attended to by team medical staff headed by Physio Steve Mount, and will undergo a precautionary scan this afternoon to ascertain injury if any," a media release issued by Sri Lanka Cricket said.
Prasad picked two wickets after bowling 17.3 overs as Dimuth Karunaratne had to complete his over after being taken off the field.
Sri Lankans were batting at 42-2 in their second innings after being restricted to 254 batting first.
Essex declared at 412-4.
