Cricket: SLC announces automation of ticketing

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced that due to diligence and stringent evaluation, it has awarded the tender for the Automation of Ticketing and related Services to BookMyShow.com.

Book My Show is India’s biggest online movie, sports and events ticketing brand and is the ticketing partner of BCCI, the ICC World T20 (2014, 2016), the IPL, the Indian Super League and F1 India amongst other partners.

BTP enjoys 90% of the market share for online ticketing and related services in India, and has managed the ticketing for over 1500 sporting events.

Under the contract, Book My Show will manage the automation of,

• Ticketing systems design and specification

• Multi-technology ticketing systems

• Collection of Customer Data and Usage of data or Fan Management

• Technology Support

• Designing of Venue Layout

• Manifest Creation

• Offer Building and Promotion

• Implementation of embedded ticketing software, POS for outlet and Box Office

• Front-office and Back-office ticketing systems design, development and operation

• Ticketing system tests and certification

• Ticketing account system

• Sales system for Cricket venue through one POS and system

• Commissions, Discount and Promo Code configuration

• Electronic ticketing

• Multi-channel support: web, mobile, counter

• Distribution of Tickets through Box Office

• Online Ticket Exchange

• Home delivery of Tickets

• Managed Gate entries Ticket Validation for all the venues

• Managed Ushering

• Providing Information to Cricket Fans at the venue and Box Office

• Online Accreditation Module for Media , Board, and Vendors

• Banding Machine for the Hospitality areas

"Sri Lanka Cricket believes that this augmentation will assist in bringing about a positive change to the accountability and transparency in the areas of ticketing and related services, taking Sri Lanka Cricket onto the global platform in technology based services," SLC announced.
