Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has lodged a complaint on Monday (25) with Cricket Australia (CA) over Muttiah Muralitharan's involvement with the visiting team as a spin bowing consultant.
SLC president Thilanga Sumathipala had expressed his disappointment to CA while accusing Muralitharan of being rude to Sri Lanka team manager Charith Senanayake, over an issue related to practice pitches used by the Australians.
"His (Muralitharan's) behaviour is unacceptable. We have brought this to the notice of the Australian team management," Sumathipala had told reporters.
Sumathipala went on to say that Muralitharan had harassed the ground staff at the Pallekele Stadium on Saturday (23) into allowing the Australians to practise, which Muralitharan totally denies.
