Sri Lankan swimmer Matthew Abeysinghe bowed out of the Commonwealth Games 2018 after placing eighth in the Men's 50m Freestyle Semi-final 2 event today (9).
He clocked 22.84seconds, competing in Lane 1.
Abeysinghe established two national records at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in the 100m Freestyle and 50m Freestyle events.
Earlier today, Abeysinghe clocked 22.65seconds to finish fourth in the 50m Freestyle Heat 7 to claim the Sri Lanka record.
On Saturday (7), Abeysinghe clocked 49.11seconds in the Men's 100m Freestyle event to claim the Sri Lanka record.
