Sri Lankan shuttlers Buwaneka Goonathilleke and Dinuka Karunaratne won their Men's Badminton Singles Round of 32 matches at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (11).
Goonathilleke beat Emmanuel Donkor of Ghana 2-0 with set scores of 21-18 and 24-22 in a tough match that stretched up to 46 minutes.
He will meet Singapore's Zin Rei Ryan NG in the Round of 16 on Thursday (12).
Karunaratne recorded an easy 2-0 win against Ciaran Chambers of Northern Ireland where the set scores were 21-7 and 21-8.
He will play the Round of 16 match on Thursday (12).
