Due to the prevailing weather conditions the remaining four matches of the Cargills Food City FA Cup have been postponed indefinitely, Football Federation of Sri Lanka announced.
This includes the two quarter-finals which was to be held on Friday (20) Sri Lanka Army vs Sri Lanka Air Force and Saunders-Blue Star and the semi-finals planned to take place on May 25 along with the finals scheduled to be played on May 28.
Earlier Colombo FC defeated Mannar Hillary SC 15-1 and Renown beat Java Lane 5-1 to qualify for the semis.
Remaining quarter-finals Sri Lanka Army/Air Force and Saunders/Blue Star scheduled to be worked-off on May 15 were postponed for May 20 but due to inclement weather both matches had to be postponed.
It is informed that all postponed matches will be played before June 10th according to Ranjith Rodrigo, Media Committee chairman of the FFSL.
