Army SC recorded a well-deserved 1-0 victory against defending champions Colombo FC in the FA Cup semi-final played at the Racecourse ground in Colombo on Wednesday (1).
Sajith Kumara booted Army's and the game's solitary goal in the 20th minute of the game as the winners went on to take the first half lead,
Army will meet Saunders SC in the final of the FA Cup Championship, which will be played at the Racecourse ground on June 11 at 6.30pm.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
