Moragasmulla Sports Club beat Pelicans Sports Club by 1-0 to win the FFSL Premier League Division I Championship for 2016 in the final played at the Maliyadeva College ground in Kurunegala on Saturday (10).
H.R. Priyawansa scored the solitary goal of the match in the 37th minute as Moragasmulla SC went on to lead the first half and secure a tight win.
The game was played in high pace and it produced four yellow cards in the process.
Shiranga Priyawansa, Priyanga Gomas and Akila Suresh received yellow cards for Moragasmulla SC while from the Pelicans' camp O.N. Rowland received a yellow card.
