Old Bens Veterans and Kurunegala Veterans will clash in the final of the Seventh Annual 11-a-side Football Tournament at Ratnam ground in Kotahena on Sunday (31) starting at 3.30pm.
In the semi-finals Old Bens beat Super Star 3-0 and in the second semi-final Kurunegala Veterans beat Negombo Veterans 2-1.
Forty three teams took part in the tournament.
Twenty two teams were from Colombo and 21 teams from the outstations.
The winning team will receive the Tilak Pieris Challenge Trophy and Rs. One Lakh.
The runners-up will receive Rs. 50,000.
The Veterans Most Valuable Player and Goalkeeper will receive cash awards of Rs. 7,500 each.
The tournament is organised by the Sri Lanka Sri Lanka Masters Soccer Association.
Last year Old Bens emerged champions. Last year’s runners-up Maligawatte Veterans have been ousted from the competition.
