Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) today (1) named a 16-man squad under the leadership of Dinesh Chandimal, who has been called fit, for the second Test match against India, which will be played at the SSC ground in Colombo from Thursday (3) to Monday (7).
Sri Lanka will go without Asela Guanratne, who was ruled out of the three-match Test series after fracturing his finger while attempting a catch during the first Test match, which India won by 304 runs at Galle.
Stand in skipper Rangana Herath too experienced a similar blow and did not turn up to bat in Sri Lanka's second innings, but his name remains in the squad.
The selectors have included Lahiru Thirimanne into the squad.
