Commercial Credit and Finance beat defending champions, MAS Unichela with a thrilling 5-wicket win in the 24th Singer-MCA Premier League 2017 Twenty20 final which was worked off at the MCA grounds in Colombo.
Commercial Credit’s Chathuranga de Silva was adjudged Man-of-the-Match.
The other two Special Awards went to Malinda Pushpakumara (03 matches, 10.4 – 44-6), the Best Bowler, and, Ashan Priyanjan (03 innings, 145 runs, 01 not out), the Best Batsman, both from Commercial Credit.
The victorious Commercial Credit team led by Chamara Kapugedara, included Wanidu Hasaranga, Kavinda Silva, Suraj Randeev, Lahiru Madushanka, Vishawa Fernando, Dilhan Cooray, Ashan Priyanjana, Imesh Udayanga, Kusal Chamin, Praneeth Wijesena, Lasantha Prasad, Ravi Fernando, Malinda Pushpakumara, Chathuranga de Silva and Shirmal Mendis.
The side was coached by Sajith Fernando.
