Holy Family Convent (HFC) Kurunegala won a double while Visakha Vidyalaya won a title at the 25th Schools Netball Championships played for the Milo Trophies at the Uyanwatte Stadium in Matara.
HFC retained the Under-18 and Under-14 championships in Group 'A' continuing their winning streak for nine years on the run while Visakha won the Under-16 title.
HFC defeated Ananda Balika Vidyalaya Colombo by 28-16 in the Under-18 final while Visakha, a rising unit in schools netball, beat Maliyadeva Girls School Kurunegala by 27-15 to win the third place.
To take the Under-16 championship, Visakha dominated over Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya by 18-8 as Maliyadewa GS edged out Ladies College Colombo by 18-17 in a thrilling finish to end up third overall.
HFC didn't have it easy against St. Bridget’s Convent Colombo as the Familians edged out 18-17 in the Under-14 final as Musaeus College got the better of Gothami Balika Vidyalaya by 14-9 for the third place.
