The report of the three-member committee appointed to investigate allegations of a sex scandal involving members of the Sri Lanka National Women’s Cricket Team was handed over yesterday to the Minister of Tourism and Sports Navin Dissanayake. The committee headed by Retired Supreme Court Judge Nimal Dissanayake, submitted its report today. The committee was appointed by to investigate media reports which emerged last year of the management and national selectors of the Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team allegedly soliciting sexual bribes from players seeking a place in the national team.
