Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) named its squad for this weekend's Asian Sevens Series third and final Leg which will be held in Colombo this weekend.
The final squad released by SLRFU has been done with three changes as Sri Lanka go out with high hopes for the final Leg to be held at the Racecourse ground this Saturday (15) and Sunday (16).
Accordingly Saliya Handapangoa, Sashan Mohamed and Hirantha Perera will make their way out for Sudarshana Muthuthanthri, Jason Dissanayake and Kevin Dixon.
Handapangoa and Mohamed have been ruled out due to injuries while the reason for Perera's omission is unclear.
Sri Lanka will play in Pool 'B' alongside China, Chinese Taipei and Singapore while favourites Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Malaysia form the Pool 'A'.
For the third leg Sri Lanka has been drawn in Pool B, alongside China, Chinese Taipei and Singapore. Pool A will feature first leg winners Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Malaysia.
Sri Lanka 7s Squad: Danushka Ranjan (Capt), Srinath Sooriyabandara, Dulaj Perera, Omalka Gunaratne, Kevin Dixon, Tarinda Ratwatte, Danush Dayan, Jason Dissanayaka, Richard Dharmapala, Kanchana Ramanayake, Kavindu Perera, Sudarshana Muthuthanththri.
