SL in Ind: SLC picks T20 squad sans Malinga

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced a 15-man squad for the three Twenty20 Internationals against India, but sans former skipper and slinger Lasith Malinga.

The team's captaincy has been handed over to Thisara Perera while according to sources Malinga has been 'rested' and will be recalled for Sri Lanka's next international assignment.

Sri Lanka will play three T20I matches against India to be played between December 20 to 24..

Sri Lanka T20 Squad: Thisara Perera (Capt), Upul Tharanga, Angelo Mathews, Kusal Perera, Danushka Gunathilaka, Niroshan Dickwella, Asela Gunaratne, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Dasun Shanaka, Chaturanga de Silva, Sachith Pathirana, Akila Dananjaya, Dushmantha Chameera, Nuwan Pradeep, Vishwa Fernando.
