Anil Rohana of Automobile Association Club (AAC) clinched the Masters Snooker title when he defeated Nimal de Silva of Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya by three frames to one in the five frame final played at the Billiards and Snooker Association headquarters billiards table in Colombo on Saturday (23).
Anil an experience cueist though conceding the first frame to his opponent had his own way as he took the second, third and fourth frames with the minimum of fuss to clinch the title.
Earlier in the third place play off between Tony Hafiz of Starlight and T.N.S. Saldin of Sealord saw Hafiz prevail in a closely contested game by two frames to one.
The Masters Snooker Championship conducted by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Sri Lanka saw the participation of over 20 cueists from clubs around the island.
