Minister of Tourism and Sports Navin Dissanayake said that stern action will be taken against Heads of Sports Associations who did not attend the meeting between the Minister of Sports and the Heads of the National Sports Associations which held last Tuesday (25), at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports Auditorium. The Heads of Associations discussed impending issues with Minister Dissanayake who assured to take prompt action to resolve them immediately. Minister Dissanayake advised Heads of the Associations to hold the elections to elect the new office bearers before March 31. He further said that he look forward to increase the financial allocation of Rs. 30 million for the Associations with immediate effect for the betterment of the country's sports.
