Sri Lanka Squash (SLS) tournament calendar will commence from the month of April with the Premadasa Open Squash Championship 2017 and will be followed by open tournaments in May, July, September, November and the National Championship in December 2017.
Apart from the tournaments Sri Lanka Squash had drawn development plans to uplift the game of squash in Sri Lanka such as construction of four courts for Sri Lanka Squash, allocation of two squash courts to continuous follow up to conduct SLS National Pool training, to conduct SLS organise tournaments and to commence a Training Academy for the sport.
A MoU had already being signed with the involvement of Sri Lanka Squash, Ministry of Sports and the Government of Pakistan to continue with Squash sports exchange programmes to develop the game throughout the country and actions are being carried out to commence senior and junior national pools with regular training under the supervision of a National Coach.
Plans are also finalised to commence national pools 'B' regular training soon after the commencement of National pool training.
