Lyceum International School Wattala emerged champions at the 22nd Inter-International School Swimming Championship held at the Sugathadasa Stadium Swimming Pool on Sunday (6).
The winning team obtained 1267 points as they emerged clear winners ahead of Gateway College Colombo (860 points) and Lyceum International School Nugegoda (754 points), who finished second and third respectively.
A total of 836 swimmers representing 21 international schools all round Sri Lanka took part in the two-day event where 84 individual events and 22 relays were held.
A total of 31 individual and nine relay new meet records were established during the two-day meet.
Out of the total, the champions, Lyceum Wattala established 19 new meet records -- 11 individuals and eight relays, as runners-up Gateway International Colombo claimed eight individual and a relay record.
