Mercantile Table Tennis Association (MTTA) will be conduct the Mercantile Open Championship - 2016 on June 9 and 10 at the S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia Indoor Stadium commencing at 4.00pm each day.
More than 13 mercantile teams registered for this tournament and current Sri Lankan National Players Nirmala Jayasinghe, Chalitha Ranjana, Sukitha Wickramanayake and Chameera Ginige along with former national players in Sahanaka Ganegoda, Malith Dilusha, Kalpani Herath and Srimali Wimalaratne will be representing their organisations at this tournament is sure to add more colour and competition at this year's edition.
Sri Lankan Veteran Players Rajiva Wijetunge and Gamini Moraes too will be action to show that they have not lost the touch in the game.
The committee will be led by Vimarshana Madushanka Gammanpila, President – Mercantile Table Tennis Association.
The events to be conducted would be Men’s and Women’s singles, Men’s and Women’s doubles, Novices Men’s and Women’s singles and Men’s veteran’s singles.
