Anika Seneviratne and Jithmie Jayawickrema defeated favourites Medhira Samarasekara and Amritha Muttiah in straight sets to clinch the Women's Open Doubles title at the 102nd Sri Lanka Tennis Nationals played at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts on Wednesday (9).
Seneviratne and Jayawickrema comfortably defeated Samarasinghe and Muttiah 6/1, 6/1 to win the final after defeating Anya Gunawardena and Janali Manamperi 6/2, 6/3 in the semi-final.
Samarasinghe and Muttiah comfortably beat Oshini Herath and Savini Jayasuriya 6/0, 6/1 in the second semi-final.
