Spain's Boluda Purkiss defeated Italy's Petrone Alessandro 3/6, 6/3, 7/6(2) to win the ITF Men's Pro Circuit Sri Lanka Futures F2 Series at the final played at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts on Sunday (2).
With the win Purkiss claimed a prize money of US$ 15,000.
Purkiss beat Indian top seed Sumit Nagal 6/3, 3/0 in the first semi-final while Sri Lanka's hopeful Harshana Godamanne crashed out of semi-final stage after being defeated by Petrone 6/1, 6/4.
