Sri Lanka’s top seed duo Sharmal Dissanayake and Harshana Godamanne won their singles games to take the Davis Cup Group II Asia Oceania Zone Relegation tie lead 2-0 against Lebanon at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association court in Colombo on Friday (17). Sri Lanka’s No.1 player Dissanayake who took on Jad Ballout won in straight sets, 6/3, 6/2, 6/1 while second seed Godamanne too won his game in straight sets against Hady Habib, 7/5, 6/3, 6/3. Today (18) Dissanayake and Godamanne will team up in the only doubles against Giovani Samaha and Ballout which begins at 10.00am.
