The visiting Director-General of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Ms. Audrey Azoulay called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the President’s House in Colombo, a short while ago.
The UNESCO Director-General, accompanied by a delegation, arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport this morning (16) on an invitation from the Sri Lankan Government.
Director-General Azoulay will meet with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya and Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha during her three-day visit.
Ms. Azoulay will also participate in the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s UNESCO Membership at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre in addition to visiting the island's UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
