The Sri Lanka Under-15 cricket team will leave for Malaysia to take part in the ‘Tuanku Ja’afar Trophy’ International Under-15 Cricket Tournament on Saturday (2).
Kamil Migara of Mahanama College Panadura has been appointed the captain of the 14-member squad that was selected by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.
Besides Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, South Africa, Singapore and host Malaysia will compete at the event.
Sri Lanka U-15 team: Kamil Migara (Captain/Mahanama Panadura), Ravindu Rashantha Silva (VC/(Dharmashoka Ambalangoda), Shevaan Rasool (St. Joseph’s CMB), Mohamad Shamaz (Zahira CMB), Avishka Tharidu Chandima (St. Anthony’s Wattala), Avishka Lakmal Perera (Nalanda CMB), Janidu Wathsala Jayawardane (Bandaranayake Gampaha), Maneesha Perera Rupasinghe (Isipathana), Kavindu Nadishan (Dharmasoka Ambalangoda), Ahan Sachintha (Royal CMB), Manula Nilaksha Perera (Royal CMB), Sadun Tharaka Mendis (Richmond), Yasiru Kasthuriarachchi (Mahanama CMB), Leshan Kavisha Amarasinghe (Isipathana).
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
