Mohamed Mushtaq, former Sri Lanka, CR and FC and Zahira College winger has been appointed as the Sri Lanka Under-18 rugby coach for a period of one year.
His first assignment as coach of the juniors will be the Asian Under-18 Championship in Hong Kong which begins from July 21.
Mushtaq, who turned out for Zahira College, captained the senior side in 1997.
He later joined CR and FC in 1997 and continued to play until 2006.
Mushtaq represented Sri Lanka at Dubai 7s, South Africa 7s, at Commonwealth Games and Asian Games while also representing the Sri Lanka XV team side at the Rugby Asiad.
