Sri Lanka Youth Under-19s cricket team left for the United Kingdom on a high after winning the inaugural Gamini Dissanayaka Challenge Trophy in the early hours of Sunday (24) to take part in a bilateral series against England.
The Sri Lanka Under-19s team is led by Charith Asalanka, who captained the side during the ICC Under-19 World Cup last year.
He is currently in the UK with the Sri Lanka 'A' team.
Sri Lanka Under-19s will begin their campaign in the UK on Thursday (21) with a 2-day warm-up game against EDP Invitational XI at Loughborough.
The first Youth Test against England Under-19s will be played from July 26 to 29 at Cambridge followed by the second game from August 3 to 6 at Northampton.
The series will include three Youth ODIs which will be played on August 10, 13 and 16 at Wormsley, Chelmsford and Canterbury respectively.
