St. Peter's College bounced back to beat Trinity College 38-24 in the second quarterfinal match of the Milo Schools Under-20 Knockout Championship played for the President's Trophy at Sugathadasa Stadium today (10).
At halftime Trinity led 24-21 but the Peterites bounced back in the second half to prevent their opponents from scoring and by adding 17 more points to the tally to reach the semi-final in style.
St. Peter's scored from six tries and four conversions while Trinity scored all their points during the first half through four tries and two conversions.
St. Peter's will meet the winner of the third quarterfinal game between Isipathana and St. Anthony's which will be played on Sunday (11), next weekend in the second semi-final.
