Vidyartha College edged Ananda College 20-18 in their Singer Schools Under-20 League Rugby Championship Division I 'B' match to claim the William Gopallawa Shield at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy on Friday (24).
Vidyartha led 17-5 at halftime but was given a stiff fight by Ananda in the second session.
The winners scored from three tries, a conversion and a penalty.
Ananda scored from three unconverted tries and a penalty.
