The government has recommenced the handing over of rupees 5000 allowance to low income families affected by the COVID pandemic. Accordingly the scheme is being carried out for Samurdhi beneficiaries of all the 20 divisions under the Sri Jayawardanapura, Kotte Divisional Secretariat. Here the allowance is being handed over to 336 beneficiaries of the Obesakara pura division.
