No COVID cases in Dalada Maligawa

No official at the Sri Dalada Maligawa has contracted COVID-19, the Media Unit of the Sri Dalada Maligawa said in a statement.

The Media Unit said all officials at the Dalada Maligawa underwent tests and none of them were COVID positive.

Daily services including the poojas are conducted under the guidance of the Chief Prelates of the Malwatu and Asgiri Chapters and monitored by the Diyawadane Nilame, the Media Unit said.

Several policemen attached to the Dalada Maligawa police post were tested positive for COVID-19 and a number of police officers attached to the Dalada Maligawa police division have been placed under quarantine.
