All-religions rally today

Hundreds of Buddhist monks, Catholic bishops, priests and nuns, Hindu and Muslim clergy and several thousand lay people are expected to take part in an all-religions rally at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo today.

The theme of this rally will be the renewal and rebuilding of a righteous society and nation based on spiritual values through an all-religions solidarity alliance.

The rally has been organized by the Daham Pahana movement led by Anton Charles Thomas.

Some thirty groups will perform music, song and dance items for this all-religions festival which begins at 3.30 p.m.
