Those who strive to be entrepreneurs – business leaders should read the business sections of newspapers which provide a fair analysis of the business situation of the country, said Prof Lakshman R. Watawala, Founder President, Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka.
He was speaking as the Chief Guest at the awarding of certificates issued by the Cambridge University UK to the students of Young Entrepreneurs of Sri Lanka (YESL) which is a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide, held at Thurstan College Auditorium, last week. Certificates were awarded to those students who succeeded at the Examination conducted by the Cambridge University.
Prof Watawala said that the Young Entrepreneurs is a practical programme as those students in schools conduct business. He said that in today’s globalization, foreign educational connectivity is important. While many students are involved in such spheres, some capable students are left out due to the lack of English knowledge.
He said that the lack of English knowledge should not deprive this facility to Sinhala and Tamil educated students.
