Caribbean Reggae Party’ at Governor’s Terrace

‘Caribbean Reggae Party’ will come alive at the Governor’s Terrace of Mount Lavinia Hotel on Fridays and ‘Route 66’ on every Saturday night from this week.

All Caribbean lovers will be able to sail a voyage to the Caribbean with all the ingredients required to create the ambience with live reggae music and Caribbean cuisine. The sumptuous spread in Caribbean favourites, by hotel’s Cuban American Chef Leonel who is passionate about conjuring food from Cuba to Trinidad to Santo Domingo will leave revellers amazed in gourmet delight.

Popular Caribbean music by ‘Sharman and the Reggae Colours’ will be the attraction of the night and entire Governor’s Terrace will turn into a typical Reggae Party with steel sound and cricketing mood.

Appetizers by way of salads and soups from Creole Seafood to Kalalu soup, St. Lucias Seafood Salad, Escabeth Puerto Rico and Cuban Avocado red Onion Cilantro Salad, Chayote Salad, etc; just to name a few. There are many live food stations mainly the grill, sizzling with jerk chicken, fish to Cuban roasted pork spiked with pineapple to ensure a juicy tirade and meats of individual choice.

The congri red beans and rice, Belize crab stew, Caribbean fish patties, bajan pie and fish, Mojos, tropical fruit salsa, beef brisket, Steamed breadfruit to carigote and dandilla, mouth watering desserts from Tres Leche, bunelos, Rum Cake, Qesitoes de Coco to Guava Fool are all prepared specially for the occasion.
Caribbean fever will continue on Saturday with ‘Route 66’ at the same venue with the combination of ecstasy and exotica, a dream journey of America with live burgher bars, grills, chicken rotisserie and BBQ stations dishing out specialties from original recipes turned by Chef Leonel.

The live entertainment for ‘Route 66’ will be by Rebels. Barbeques – meats, ribs, pork, chicken served with home made BBQ sauce, Southern Fried Chicken with gravy, meat loaf with Mushroom Gravy, pot pies, Prawns Scampi, Tex-Mex vegetable Burritos, Seafood Rice, New Mexico Grilled Corn on the Cob with Cjilli Butter, Grilled Fish Fillet with Pepper Cream Sauce are some of the favourites on show at ‘Route 66’ .
