‘The teledrama is about a young teacher who has modelled himself on the exemplary teacher that is in the novel in Russian literature’, director Pradeep said. One of the aims in making this drama is to encourage everybody to read this book which is full of humane ideas and a guide to all the teachers and pupils.
Pradeep’s maiden direction ‘Samanalunta Wedi Thiyanna’ was nominated for thirteen awards including the Best Direction and Best Teledrama at the recently held Raigam Tele Awards and won four awards.
‘Mega’ , the protagonist is a literature teacher in a remote school. While teaching literature he is also interested in promoting the game of football among the children. For this he tries new ways of teaching to instill an interest about the subject of literature and also the sport. However for this very reason he is transferred to another rural school in the hill country. And Mega sees that most of the bright students leave the school merely due to financial difficulties. The young teacher starts to play the role of an ideal teacher who goes in search of drop outs and encourage them to continue their education.
