The AIMS College has been in the field of education for over two decades providing facilities for Sri Lankan students to obtain internationally recognised degrees in Business Management, Information Technology and several other fields.

Preston University - USA - Degrees
AIMS College has been registered as an affiliated campus of Preston University - USA since 2003. The AIMS College is now conducting Preston University programmes leading to BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), BSc.IT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology), MBA (Master of Business Administration), MSc.IT (Master of Science in Information Technology), and also the PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) programme in several disciplines.

The Preston MBA and MSc.IT programmes have been very popular particularly among the Business Executives. Classes are held during week-ends to facilitate the working people. Our programmes are more of a practical and professional type than being purely academic. They emphasise the applied side of Business Management and Information Technology. The students enjoy all the action learning events - case study, role play, brain storming, trouble-shooting projects, debates and presentations etc.
The BBA and BScIT (Final Year Programme) is aimed at working people who are in need of acceptable qualifications for their career prospects. It is also structured to suit the working people with flexible entry requirements and lecture hours.

Several batches of MBA, BBA and BScIT graduates attended the convocation ceremony held in USA. Many of our past MBA students are progressing well in their own organisations and some have received promotions with enhanced remuneration. Still some others have gone into greener pastures with upgraded positions and perks.

PhD Programme
The AIMS College started the PhD Programme of Preston University - USA for the first batch of students about two years ago. The second batch for the PhD programme is planned to take off in September 2009.

MSS and MBA e-Business Programmes - EC-Council University
AIMS College is also registered as a partner organisation of EC-Council University - USA. The Masters' Programme in Security Science in IT (MSS) which is of very high demand in the Information Technology Sector has been inaugurated. The first batch of students is following the programme.

Another programme of the same University - MBA in e-Business will be started in September 2009. The Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (BScIT) programme is also in the pipleline. It will be in progress in the near future.

Edexcel - HND Programmes
The AIMS College is registered with Edexcel International - UK and has also introduced educational programmes targeting the school leavers. The HND (Higher National Diploma) in Business Management are being conducted for GCE OL and AL students (school leavers) both in Colombo and at Wattala Branch. The plans are underway to start HND classes at branches at Negombo, Chilaw and Puttalam.
