Skills for Life, the newest entrant in the sphere of International Course Providers, wins its first award at the HR Service Providers Exhibition organized by the IPM.
"Skills for Life" was recently launched, as an entity dedicated to workforce development. With the Government of Sri Lanka terming the year 2009, as the year of ICT and English, Skills for Life supports this cause by including in its offerings these two key skill areas. Apart from English and ICT, Skills for Life also focuses on Soft Skills and Teacher Training Programmes.
"Skills for Life" provides courses and qualifications from Cambridge ESOL, Pearson Language Assessments PLA, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and the European Computer Driving License Foundation (ECDL Foundation). They are also the sole Licensee of the Accelerated Skills Acquisition Programme (ASAP) endorsed by the USAID and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
Skills for Life invites Corporates and NGO's to invest in developing skills of their own staff members and/or to assist the work force development of the country by investing in their programmes as CSR initiatives. Skills for Life also invites Educational Institutes, Universities and Schools to add value to their existing training programmes by incorporating the various offerings in the areas of English, ICT, Soft Skills and Teacher Training.
