‘Festival of Pastas’ at The Bay Leaf

Colombo’s finest Italian restaurant, ‘The Bay Leaf’ celebrates the April New Year holiday season with the tempting aromas and flavours of Rome in a Festival of Pastas this month.

Among the range of culinary delicacies from the different regions of Rome are ‘Pappardelle al Cacao Ragu di Fungi e Panna’ (Home made fresh Cocoa Pasta, tossed with sautéed Mushrooms,Herbs, Parmesan and Cream), ‘Timballo di Tagliolini con Bolgnese e Melanzane’ (Egg Pasta stuffed with Mozzarella, Beef Ragu and Egg Plant) and ‘Tagliatelle Verdi con Prosciutto (Home made Spinach Pasta tossed with Honey Glazed Ham, Mushrooms, Bacon, Cream and Parmesan Cheese).

Added to this are also ‘Fettuccine Rosse alla Pugliese’ (Home made Chili Pasta with mixed roasted Capsicum, Sun-dried Tomato, Prawns and Fresh Spinach) and Tagliatelle Nero di Olive con Capesante (Home made Black Olive Pasta with Scallops, Garlic, Chilli and Fresh Tomato)
