Interior Design is a professional discipline which exists in the overall framework of the building industry with its own area of specialty and consideration primarily for the interior environment. Interior Design takes into consideration the basic human needs and aspirations for living through it's expressions of style, structure, function and forum. It is a highly respected professional that responds to the needs of the building industry and corresponds to the social development, economic growth and prosperity of a country.
 While responding to change in the Design environment, interior design also plays a vital role in ensuring the continual preservation of a country's identity and heritage. Students will begin with a thorough training in the basic principles of building and design, then move onto explore various areas of specialization.
Modules of study are centered in creating interior spaces and environments utilizing a knowledge of human behaviour, psychology, environmental science and technology. Colour texture rendering skills, computer aided design, patterns, fabric and design trends are also studied within this field.
Entry requirements.
- GCE O/L or Equivalent Qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Those who sat the GCE A/L or Equivalent Qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Advance Standing: A Foundation Programme (Minimum of One year), in a related field or discipline or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
