Shareholders of F&G ratify board resolution to repay depositors

Two Extra-ordinary General Meetings of the Shareholders of F& G Real Estate Co Ltd and F&G Property Developers (Pvt) Ltd which were held at Welikada Magazine Prison where directors ratified a resolution to repay a sum of around Rs.8.3 billion to 5,600 depositors, were this week approved by shareholders at meetings also in the prison.

Nine shareholders out of 11 participated in the F& G Real Estate Co Ltd shareholder meeting while 13 attended the F&G Property Developers (Pvt) Ltd meeting, Attorney General (AG)’s department sources said. The meeting was facilitated by an order made by the court on the Commissioner General of the Colombo Remand Prison. At the meeting Mervyn Jayasinghe moved the adoption of the resolution with K.A.S.Jayatisa seconding it.
