The CIMA 2009 Business Leaders Summitwill take place at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo on October 5 and October 6, and is expected to attract over 400 diverse groups of corporates, business leaders and professionals.
Themed ‘The challenge – Now and Ahead’, the conference will focus on the opportunities and challenges posed in the current business environment, the organisation said.
Keynote speaker at the summit will be Prof J D Agarwal, Professor of Finance and Chairman, Indian Institute of Finance and the Editor-in-Chief of Finance India whilst the Technical Session keynote speaker will be Charles Tilley, CEO, CIMA.
These sessions will be conducted by Lalith de Mel, Chairman Hemas Holdings and include three overseas speakers -- Ms Farzana Haque, Business Head - Large Accounts SBU at TCS, India, Ms Boonsiri Somchit-Ong, Vice President Finance, Advanced Micro Devices Global Services (M) Sdn Bhd, Malaysia and Dr Dieter Kotte, CEO & Partner, Causal Impact; CEO Partner and co founder of Joint Business Research Group.
The CIMA statement said Mr de Mel will speak on the challenge of the public sector, private sector link to economic growth. He would also discuss the difficult questions relating to what facilitates growth and what impedes growth.
