Aquafresh was recently awarded the ISO 22000 certification, making it the first brand of local table water to receive this certificate of international standard, the company said. ISO 22000 looks into the entire food production chain of a particular organization starting from producer to processor and distributor to exporter to maintain set procedures and guidelines to eradicate microbiological and other hazards.
There is stringent control of food safety hazards through pre-requisite programmes and HACCP plans. There is also continual improvement and updating of the food safety management system, the company statement said. |
