The tele drama version of Upul Shantha Sannasgala’s renowned romantic novel ‘Wassana Sihinaya’ is now being telecast on TV Derana at 7.25 pm from Monday to Thursday.
The tele drama produced and directed by Janaka Siriwardana will feature two new stars – Madhawa Wijesinghe (Kasun) and Dinakshi Priyasad (Chapa) in the lead roles while the rest of the cast will include Kusum Renu, Daya Alwis, Somasiri Alakolanga, W. Jayasiri, Ruwanthi Mangala, Awanthi Aponsu, Gihan Fernando, Gayan Wickremathilaka, Nilmini Kottegoda and others.
Wassana Sihinaya, first published in May 1993 has already gone into 14 reprints which highlight its popularity among the youngsters or young lovers.
Kavindya Jayasekara has penned the script of the tele version.
