Yes FM , popular hit music station together with Channel One MTV conducted the first workshop for the YES Super Star participants last week at Mount Lavinia Hotel.
The workshop commenced with a motivating speech that welcomed the participants and briefed them about what to expect when they begin their musical journey.
Mount Lavinia Regency Ballroom was packed out with applicants of all ages, all with the hope of becoming the ‘YES Super Star’ a talent contest showcasing individual vocal abilities.
Judges for this prestigious event, Maxi Rosairo, Soundarie Davd, and Ashanthi gave advice on what contestants should possess to be a ‘YES Super Star’ and shared words of encouragement to boost their confidence. Ashanti, eased the nerves of the participants by ending the preliminary workshop with a tune that involved all participants singing together harmoniously.
The workshop was a great success and the contestants are now looking forward to making it through the auditions with one goal in mind, to be crowned ‘Yes Super Star’!
