‘Weli Aetayak’ - a new CD containing 18 songs by Nalin Jayawardena with lyrical compositions of Dr. Vicumpriya Perera was recently released.
This is the second collection of lyrics written by Dr. Vicumpriya Perera for CD while it marks the seventh music CD released by Nalin Jayawardena, a versatile singer with vocalizing abilities in many genres of music traditions who now resides in Perth, Australia.
His previous releases were appreciated by fans with much enthusiasm and this CD will be on par with that tradition.
The collection contains songs music directed and composed by musicians like Sangeeth Wickramasinghe, Ananda Waidyasekera, Rohan Jayawardena, Jayanga Dedigama, Sanuka Wickramasinghe and Rukshan Karunanayake and the Chimes of the Seventies.
CD contains several duets sung with Santhuri Waidyasekera, SangeethWickramasinghe, Ananda Waidyasekera, Nijamalie Jayawardena andSandhuni Rashmika Athulage.
CD mastering was by Jayanga Dedigama, and cover design by Janaka Chaminda. The music CD is distributed in Sri Lanka by Jayananda Record Bar of Malwatta Road, Colombo. It is also available for download and purchase from leading music websites such as amazon.com and lankaheritage.com.
